At the end of 2011, Audi presented an updated version of the Audi S4 2012 model year. Externally, the changes touched the head optics, which received new diode navigation lights, taillights, forms of the radiator grille, front and rear bumper. In the interior of the restyling Audi C4 there was a new steering wheel, new materials were added and the controls of the MMI system changed.
The new Audi S4 is equipped with a 6-cylinder TFSI, a volume of 3 liters. It develops power in 333 hp. and a torque of 460 Nm, available in the range from 2900 to 5300 revolutions. This allows you to change the first 100 km / h on the speedometer in just 5.3 seconds, and the maximum speed is electronically limited and is 250 km / h. At the same time, the Audi C4 engine consumes 10.7 liters of fuel in the city and 6.6 liters on the highway. The car became 11% more economical thanks to the start-stop system and the electromechanical power steering.
Audi S4 2012 model year is no longer equipped with mechanics: now in addition to the motor is available only 7-speed robotic S-Tronic box. The system of all-wheel drive has not undergone any changes: the differential Torsen distributes traction along the axes in a ratio of 60:40. In addition, optional for the Audi C4 rear differential is offered, which transmits a greater moment in the turns to the outer wheel.
The list of basic equipment installed on the Audi S4 in 2012 includes 6 airbags, as well as 18-inch wheels, a rain and light sensor, bi-xenon headlights and rear parking radar. As an option, you can order an adaptive suspension, a rebuilding assistant, which informs about the car that has fallen into the dead zones of the mirrors, the lane maintenance assistant and the adaptive head light.
And, finally, as before, for Audi C4 is available navigation system MMI with 7-inch display and hard disk, audio system Bang & Olufsen and proprietary system Audi Drive Select, which optimizes the engine, suspension and steering for driving in different modes.
