Chevrolet Cruze - a global project of General Motors, created under the leadership of Tevan Kim. The car replaced Chevrolet Lacetti. The basis for the car lay the new global platform Delta II, which built the Opel Astra J.
Originally, the model named Cruze (premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1999) was produced from 2001 to 2008 as a compact hatchback crossover designed for sales in the countries of Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The car was also sold under the name Suzuki Ignis.
