🔧 1. Automatic transmission problems

  • Jerking when shifting gears
  • Slow reverse gear engagement
  • Overheating when driving uphill or with a trailer
  • Faulty solenoids or control unit

💡 Regular replacement of ATF (automatic transmission fluid) and installation of an additional cooling radiator is recommended.

 

💨 2. Oil leaks

  • From the valve cover gasket
  • From the front crankshaft oil seal
  • From the engine sump gasket

💡 It is better to fix it right away - leaking oil can get into the exhaust and cause a burning smell or smoke.

 

⚙️ 3. Problems with the injection system (GDI version 6VE1-DI)

  • Jerking, misfiring
  • Errors in sensors (MAF, oxygen, knock sensor)
  • Unstable operation at idle

💡 Cleaning the throttle valve, injectors and timely replacement of filters helps.

 

🔋 4. Electrics

  • Blown fuses
  • Problems with the transmission ECU and ABS
  • Incorrect operation of the instrument cluster

💡 Often oxidized connectors are to blame - especially in areas with high humidity.

 

🚗 5. Chassis

  • Rapid wear of ball joints and steering tips
  • Knocking in the suspension
  • Worn silent blocks

💡 Problems are more common on all-wheel drive versions with aggressive driving or overload.
