🔧 Engine (especially 3.0L 4JH1 and 2.5L 4JK1):
Clogged intake manifold
The EGR system causes soot accumulation, loss of power.
Injector problems (especially Common Rail)
Misfires, uneven operation, especially when cold.
Oil consumption
Some 4JH1 engines have increased oil consumption - more often after 200 thousand km.
⚙️ Transmission:
Worn manual transmission synchronizers (MSG, MUA)
Especially in 2nd and 3rd gears, difficult shifting.
Leaking seals
Often found on the front and rear transmission and transfer case seals.
⚡ Electrics:
Oxidation of wiring and connectors
Often found in places under the frame, especially in cars after off-roading or flooding.
Generator malfunctions
In models with a mileage of more than 200 thousand km, the generator loses charge.
🚗 Chassis and suspension:
Worn ball joints and stabilizer bushings
They wear out quickly on bad roads.
Problems with steering rods
Backlash, knocking, need for adjustment.
🌡️ Cooling system:
Radiator leaking
On older cars - microcracks on plastic tanks.
Fan viscous coupling malfunctions
Overheating in traffic jams, especially in summer.
🔒 Other:
Frame and body rust
Especially in the rear part of the frame - weak factory anti-corrosion coating.
Problems with door locks and electric windows
Motors fail or work intermittently.
